Easy Scotch Egg Recipe Idea

Scotch Eggs are a traditional snack food in the UK. Enjoy them for Halloween parties, at Christmas or any time you fancy a good, nutritious alternative to junk food snacks.

Ingredients

• Hard-boiled eggs
• Beaten egg
• Square sliced sausage meat
• Ruskoline breadcrumb dressing
• Seasoning
• Flour

Preparation

• Coat moist hard-boiled eggs in flour
• Wrap in a blanket of seasoned sausage meat
• Coat thoroughly in beaten egg
• Roll in a bed of Ruskoline until completely covered
• Deep fry in very hot oil until the sausage meat is thoroughly cooked
• Allow to cool before serving

The square sliced sausage is available in Blighty's meat freezer. We also carry Ruskoline breadcrumb dressing, but you will have to go disturb your chickens to get the eggs.
